an animated short about a ghost named brooke who can't remember her past and struggles to find purpose. the only thing she remembers is her sister and that her sister owes her 5 dollars.
so she tries to remind her about that by doing playful pranks on her sister.

my role
for this group project my role was to animate the ghost character and define the visual language of the story by adding effects and textures.

early explorations
we specifically wanted to give the animation a hand-drawn feeling so that it felt less digital and more handcrafted.

challenges faced
one challenge was that some of the background colors felt a little distracting and pulled attention away from the character. we ended up toning down the backgrounds and making the colors more subtle, which helped the ghost stand out and made the scenes feel more cohesive.

improvements
if i see the animation now, one thing we could have improved was the title sequence. I feel that we could have done better there. to me it doesn't feel that blended with the story.
