a bizarre game of would you rather in a game show setting with a live studio audience. the video centers around one question: be trapped on a desert island with a gorilla and it hates you, or be trapped on a desert island with a gorilla and it's sexually attracted to you? there will be minimal voiceover, but sound design and cheesy visuals are important.

my role
my role in this project was to animate the guy character(sergio) and also find the sound which should match the overall vibe of the story. In addition to that I was also responsible for colors for the guy character.
early explorations
challenges faced
One small challenge was the moment when the gorilla huffs at Sergio and he steps back. It was difficult to imagine how that reaction would actually look, so I recorded myself acting it out on my phone. Using that reference helped us understand the timing and movement much better while animating the scene.
improvements
one of the improvements made after our mentor's feedback was to make the guy sweat more/make the sweat drop from his face which i think was a very valid feedback. these subtle details elevated the overall animation.
